    Starting in 1972, Nelson often played at the Armadillo World Headquarters, which produced numerous concert posters for the reimagined Texan musician. One concert of particular note is Willie Nelson’s 4 th of July Picnic, an annual tradition he began in 1973 in nearby Dripping Springs, Texas. Eddie Wilson, owner of the Armadillo World Headquarters, promoted the event through several posters.
